2006:
Scored his first goal of the season in his second straight
start on a Davy Arnaud assist in 2-1 loss at RSL
(5/20)...Made his third straight start and was replaced by
Yura Movsisyan in the 72nd minute in 3-1 loss vs. DC
(5/27)...Missed 2nd straight game with a hamstring injury in
1-0 loss at CHI (7/4)...Scored the first goal and played the
first 75 minutes in 3rd Rd. Open Cup match vs. Des Moines
Menace (7/12)…Netted his second goal of the season in 4-0
win vs. CLB (8/12)...Played the full 90 in 2-0 loss to CHI
(8/12) in 4th Rd. of the U.S. Open Cup…Finished the 2006
season with two goals and seven shots on goal, logging 563
minutes in 19 games played.
2005:
Enjoyed successful rookie season after being selected by the
Wizards with the 16th overall pick in the 2005 MLS
SuperDraft...Made eight appearances including four stars,
and scored a goal and added an assist...Made his MLS debut,
starting and playing the first 68 minutes @ NE (6/4). Had
two shots in his professional debut...Earned his second
career start and played the first 53 minutes @ COL (7/4) and
registered his first career MLS assist, setting up Chris
Klein's goal in the 8th minute...Scored his first goal as a
professional @ MET (9/3), just 50 seconds into the match,
tying Digital Takawira for the second fastest goal scored in
Wizards franchise history...Led the Wizards reserves with
six goals and 1 assist in eight appearances. His six goals
were tied for 6th overall in the Reserve Division.
College
Tulsa's only two-time All-America
selection, Pore started 59 of 63 games and boasts career
numbers of 51 goals and 21 assists (123 points)...Scored a
goal or earned an assist in 31 of 63 career games... As a
junior, he was named Soccer America's Player of the Year and
was one of three finalist for Hermann Trophy... NSCAA
All-America First Team...Voted the MVC's Player of the Year
for the second straight season and was a repeat selection to
the All-MVC First Team...Led the nation in scoring and
goals, and also ranked among the top assist leaders in the
country with 55 points on 22 goals and 11 assists (2.40
points per game)... Established school single-season records
for points and goals...Recorded at least one goal in 14
games...Scored four of TU's six goals in four NCAA
Tournament games and led Tulsa to the national
quarterfinals.... Started all 21 games sophomore year...NSCAA
All-America Third-Team in 2004...Tied the school record for
points in a single season with 49 on 20 goals and nine
assists...Concluded the season ranked second in the nation
in both scoring and goals...Named MVC's Most Valuable Player
and All-MVC First Team...Became the youngest player to earn
MVP honors in the 12-year history of the league.... Started
17 of 19 games as a freshman, led the team in both goals and
scoring with nine goals and one assist...All-MVC Second
Team...Named the team's Offensive Player of the Year.
High School/Club
Four-year letterwinner at Madison High
School...One of the nation's premier players as a senior and
featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd"
section of December 24-31, 2001...As a senior he tallied 136
points (62g, 12a)...Rewrote the high school record books for
the state of Ohio for single season goals (62) and career
goals (154)...Named All-Ohio District Player of the Year and
Ohio Heartland Conference Player of the Year both his junior
and senior seasons...Member of Ohio ODP team and helped the
squad win regional championships in '99 and '01.
Spent six years as a member of the
Cleveland United club team ... Cleveland United was
five-time State Champions and participated in the Under-14
Nike Int'l Premier Cup National Champions in France in 1998.
Personal
Ryan is the son of Ron and Rhonda and has
two sisters, Renee and Regan... married Ashley in December
2007…Played high school basketball for four years and was
All-Ohio in his senior year.
