Special Olympics Clinic
The
Special Olympics Clinic Saturday was a huge success.
It
was obvious our guests had a great time.
Our
few hours with them proved that soccer is not all about
winning and losing. It's about having fun, helping others,
making new friends, giving back, and learning from people
who face and beat challenges every day... no matter the
odds.
We
have a lot to learn from this group.
Thank
you to all the boys who worked with Drake on the soccer
activities, David and his team who did the cooking, and
Daniel for the gifts for our guests. A great team effort
guys.. and certainly appreciated.
Special Thanks to Janie Clemow who did the planning, Janie
& Jeff for the food, Jim Baxter & Sonic for buns & water &
more, Stephanie Wilson for plates, Ron House for the
charcoal, and all the families who brought home-made
cookies.
