Update March 22

Liverpool Starts The Season With A Draw

After a sluggish start Liverpool fought back for a 1-1 tie with Shawnee Elite.

A great effort to start the season with some super individual performances and promising signs for the team.

Game Comments

Congratulations Tyler & Derek

Congratulations to Tyler Zaborny and Derek Wilson on their selection to this years Kansas 92 ODP team.

This is Tyler's first year on the State team. A great accomplishment on his first tryout.

Derek made the team in 2006 and was an Alternate in 2007.

The guys will now go to Region II Camp in Rockford, Illinois to compete in a regional tournament July 18-20 against teams from thirteen other state associations.

Following the tournament a Regional Pool will be selected for tryouts to join the US National Team.

Nick McDonald, who played on our summer team last year also made the team.

Keeper Training

KC Wizards goalkeeper Eric Kronberg will start working with our goalies this week. Check out Eric's Bio

Trainers Fees

Our skills trainers Brian Roberts, Ryan Pore and Eric Kronberg are working with our players.

Please pay the $125.00 trainers fee for Spring season asap.

Update March 21

Reminder - Saturday's Game Is At Kenneth Fields - Not Heritage

Liverpool plays Shawnee Elite on Kenneth Field # 2 kick-off at 9:45am

Please be there a minimum of 30 minutes before kick-off to check in and warm up.

Directions To Kenneth Fields - Take 151st Street east.... past Nall... past Mission.
The next main intersection is Kenneth. It is the continuation of State Line.
Proceed through the intersection going east.
A few hundred yards down you will come to a single lane wooden bridge.
The entrance to the fields is just over the bridge on the left.
Kenneth fields are on the right as you enter the parking area.

No Celtic Game Saturday

We did not have enough Celtic players to field a team. Too many guys still out of town for Spring Break.

Fortunately Coach Baki and BV United have agreed to reschedule so neither team will miss out on a game.

We will need to pay for a field and the refs for the make up but that is certainly better than having to forfeit or losing a game from our schedule.

I will post a new date for the game as soon as we have it fixed.

Player Availability - Game Conflicts

We dodged a bullet last weekend with the rainout.

We had players still dropping out Thursday and Friday would have been forced to forfeit the Celtic game because we did not have enough players to field a team.

Our games for the season were scheduled is based on player availability feedback from players and parents received prior to registering our teams.

Please give us plenty of advance notice if plans have changed and you know you will not be available for a specific game or weekend.

Check the new Game Conflicts - Availability page and email any updates asap.

If anyone cannot play this Saturday we need to know today.

Uniforms for Spring Season

We updated our Uniforms page  a few months back so new players could get their gear ready for Spring Season.

We provide the jerseys.

Players are to supply socks, shorts, shin guards, cleats and game bag.

As elite level teams teams everyone is expected to play in uniform.

Note: Players may be held out of a game by the ref if they are not wearing team uniform. Some refs are sticklers for detail. We had a player ejected in past years for wearing different version shorts of the same brand.....

We have a few extra pair of new shorts and game bags that you can have at cost if anyone needs them.

Indoor Soccer Update

U16 Select League Division Rankings

Blue Team Jerseys: Please turn in your blue jerseys at practice this week so we can reassign them for Celtic outdoor conflicts. Most players will not be playing in the same numbers they did indoor.

Liverpool Team & Game Schedule

Each week we will call up "guest players" from our Celtic team to suit up with Liverpool... (providing we keep within KSHSAA rules).

This provides an opportunity to reward Celtic players who play well and train hard for their efforts.

Note: Team assignments may change during the season if players are unable to attend scheduled practices or games.

Warm up on the North End of the field as soon as you get there.

Wizards Tickets

Single game tickets for the Wizards 2008 season go on sale Saturday.

You can order tickets by calling Brian Roberts direct on 913-387-3400.

Make sure to tell Brian you are with the Predators.
